Executive Director

Dr. Jürgen Steuer

After training as a banker at Commerzbank AG and studying business management, Dr. Steuer served internships at companies including McKinsey & Co. Inc. and UAC Berhad, Malaysia.

From 1984 Dr. Steuer worked as an assistant to the Chair of International Management at the University of Hamburg and until 1987 as an associate at Genes Venture Capital, Cologne and Chemical Venture Capital, New York.

In 1987 took charge of M&A and Strategic Projects at Roland Berger & Partner. Here he was responsible, among other projects, for the transaction RWE/Texaco (today DEA).

In the mid-1990s he started as Director at HYPO Consult GmbH and from 1994 he was Managing Director together with Dr. Kaske. Among the more than 50 projects carried out under his supervision during the past 20 years were, for example, MBO/MBI transactions for Veba (ERC Emissions Reduzierungs Concepte GmbH), Degussa (Klaus Fischer Meß- und Regeltechnik, GfO), MG and Waldemar Knittel as well as M&A transactions in German medium-sized companies in various sectors and in Industry, including Daimler-Benz, General Electric, Alcatel, Vorwerk and Ahlers. Dr. Steuer also accompanied IPOs (including ricardo.de, InfoGenie, Datapharm ,Internet MediaHouse) and capitalisation measures with a total volume of more than € 800 million.

Dr. Steuer has been Executive Director of U.C.A. Aktiengesellschaft since 1998.
